Position Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist

CETC is seeking Pediatric Physical Therapists (PT) to conduct assessments of rehabilitation needs and potential. The PT will also plan, implement, and supervise therapeutic programs, which may include therapeutic exercises, gait training, range of motion testing and exercise, and other activities of daily living. Key Functions:

  • Develop curriculum for therapeutic programs, which may include therapeutic exercises, gait training, range of motion testing and exercise, and other activities of daily living Complete comprehensive assessments in the area of need
  • Complete daily documentation of services and outcomes
  • Manage caseloads, services and scheduling
  • Perform small group and individual therapy based on client needs
  • Collaborate and consult with professionals, providers, families, and teachers

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapy, medical and surgical diagnoses which result in functional limitations, in accordance with generally accepted physical therapy standards and department procedures.
  • Excellent and effective oral communication and writing skills
  • Ability to meet federal and state regulations for licensure and certification
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and creative
  • Recognize the need to respond to culturally diverse communities
  • Understand, utilize, and remain abreast of best practices and therapy modalities within the field
  • Experience in evaluation, scoring, and interpreting assessments and screening measures

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science and/or Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university program;
  • Previous pediatric, early intervention and/or school-based experience (two years preferred)
  • Current Maryland Physical Therapy licensure constitutes certification; Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Maryland issued by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
